East Dallas Apartment Complex has Biohazard Cleanup Services

An East Dallas apartment complex had a resident take his own life.  After waiting for the police to clear the scene, they called SERVPRO of Southwest Dallas to provide crime scene cleanup services.  In these cases, safety procedures need to be taken for our team which mean wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).  When it comes to the actual process of the cleaning and sanitation, the area needs to be saturated with EPA registered antimicrobial solution.  This is often followed by removal of porous materials like clothing, bedding, mattresses, carpet.  Non-porous items can often be successfully cleaned.  In this situation, the carpet and underlying pad was cut out and bagged for disposal.  Bodily fluids can seep down and under and thus it may be possible that more demolition is needed than initially determined.  

Unfortunately, this was the second time this apartment community needed our biohazard cleanup services in a 6-month period.  They were very satisfied with our communication, quick response and thorough work.
